The Many Flavors of BlogRush

Some of you out there with blogs may already be using BlogRush. But I am sure there are a few who may have held off for a bit potentially because there was a lack of customization options. Well your wait is over. Blogrush introduced “flavors” which allow you to choose from a surprisingly diverse palette of colors that are sure to match any theme you can throw at it. These just went live this week and all you have to do is choose your default color scheme in your Blogrush settings page under flavors and you’re done. It’s that simple. I really like the way it looks on my site and I hope you do too.

While we’re on the subject, I have to say that so far I am happy with the number of credits I’ve been getting on the Blogrush account. I have seen some fairly steady incoming traffic too so I can say that if you have a blog, you should definitely consider using it.

If you are already using it, how has your experience with it been up to this point?

Wordpress Plugin: WP Chiclets

Another great WordPress plugin that I use is called WP Chiclets. You’ll see it in the sidebar, right at the top. What it does is give you and your users a whole slew of RSS Subscription options for your blog. It is very important to give people a wide variety of choices for them to subscribe to your blog. The fact is, people will be more likely to come back and become regular readers if you get them to subscribe. Don’t count on people to just remember what your URL is and come back to it when they feel like it by using a favorite in their web browser. Favorites are practically useless nowadays to tell you the truth.

Even if you don’t use this plugin, definitely make it a point to offer up a nice variety of subscription options in your blog. As for me, I use My Yahoo and Google personally.

Wordpress Plugins: Slashdigglicious

Some of you may notice the social networking buttons at the end of each post. These make it easy for users of Digg, Deli.cio.us and Slashdot, etc to share my posts with others. The plugin itself is actually extremely easy to add and I have not had any problems with it at all.

Since Social Networking is a big way to get the word out about your sites, I highly recommend that you check out the plugin page and consider using it for your blog. You can visit the Wordpress plugin site for more information located here.

If you already use this plugin, share your experiences. I’d also like to see what others recommend using and I will certainly be sharing more plugins with all of you in the future.
