Free E-Book Seminar from SelfGrowth.com

A website I like to visit, selfgrowth.com, has informed me of a free ebook seminar coming up. Actually, today is the first seminar and it’s totally free (except for long distance charges that may apply).  While I can’t say just how valuable the information in this seminar will be, I can say that David Riklan, the speaker, has a proven strategy when it comes to running a website. Just check his Google Pagerank or Alexa ranking if you have any doubts.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with David Riklan so I am just sharing this information as a service to some of you who may see value in this free seminar. I intend to check it out myself and wanted to let everyone in on it. Let’s hope it’s not just a bait and switch “Free seminar” just to tell you about his new product for X dollars. From what I do know about David Riklan, I think you’ll find that he is trustworthy, but we’ll be the judges of that after the seminar is over.

Here’s the link to the registration page. Again, this is a free seminar that you call into via a long distance number so be mindful of the potential for long distance charges.

Say Aloha to True Aloha

In mid-July I helped a fellow beginning blogger get a website up and running. She wanted to do a blog on her favorite topic - Hawaii. I got her set up on WordPress and she quickly saw how easy it was to write posts and make changes to the site all from within WordPress. She had spent a few months considering doing a blog but was feeling the anxiety that some of you may feel. Anxiety about failure, about not knowing what to do, etc. All this was keeping her from getting started but when she finally made the choice to publish the blog she was amazed at just how easy and fun it really was.

By the end of July her blog had already gotten over 890 visitors. This was in her first month and it wasn’t even half the month! It may not sound like much but it is a great start and really got her off on the right foot. This was also accomplished without a single penny of advertising. We only used Digg, Feedburner and Mybloglog to get it started.

Now that we’re at the end of August, I would like to share with you her stats for the month. Not even including tomorrow’s stats, her site has:

3,124 Visitors

1,905 Unique Visitors

35,651 Hits

Now some might not be so impressed by these numbers. But remember, this is only her first full month! I say well done and keep up the great work!

Check out her website and congratulate her. Let this be an inspiration to anyone who is “on the fence” about starting their own blog. You can do it!

Progress Report: Review Me

Just a quick update to let everyone know how things are going for me in regards to the ReviewMe.com program. It’s been about 2 weeks since I joined up with them and added 2 of my numerous blogs to the site. The blogs I added have relatively low rankings but I’ve still managed to make money on them and with very little effort - as a matter of fact, I have found it to be quite enjoyable to select an offer and research a new website or blog - only to get paid, albeit a small amount (for now) for the privilege.

At this point I am just making about $5 per review for the 2 sites that I submitted. These sites are fairly new and have a low Alexa ranking and Google Pagerank scores for both are under 2. As they increase, I know their value on ReviewMe will as well. But the point here is that even if you are just starting out, ReviewMe is a great way to give you some content to write about and guarantee that you make some money. I wish I had options like this back when I first started - but you do!

Check out ReviewMe.com for yourself. I am very happy with what I see so far. My only real complaint is that I am not getting as many offers as I would like. But that too will come with time and as my sites grow in rank.

Oh, and one other thing. ReviewMe.com is also a great way for you to buy advertising for your site. You can get a reveiw from lower ranked sites for as little as $10 and this is a great way to generate some buzz and get linkbacks to your site. It’s free to join as an advertiser or a publisher so definitely join today and get started.
