Breaking news today on the advertising front. Microsoft just partnered with Digg for a major advertising deal. If Google didn’t have enough to worry about with Auctionads, this should really be making them take notice. I don’t expect Google to take this lying down. I look for Google to strike back soon. Keep your eyes posted!

It seems that Google is being outperformed by a relatively new adsense-like system called AuctionAds . I have recently replaced some of the Adsense ads on a few of my sites to see if all the buzz I’ve been hearing was true. I’ll have to get back to you on the results of that, but if you want to see for yourself I’d say it’s worth checking them out. I think the biggest thing they have going for them right now is the fact that the ads tend to stand out a bit more - most likely because we are all so used to the same old Adsense ads.
