I was asked to do a review on a site that has a concept I’ve not come across before. Qooforum.com is essentially a forum where you can post about the topics you like, and they share a percentage the Google Adsense revenue generated by your posts with you.
This concept intrigued me so I just had to check it out for myself. It’s free to join and I found a wide range of topics available to discuss with other members. For example, they’ve got threads for news/politics, sports, fashion, investing, computers - you name it! Actually, you can name it. You see the idea here is that you will be the one adding to their threads. As stated in their Frequently Asked Questions, the more threads you create, the more you can make. There is, however, one little catch up front. You must earn the right to create new threads and earn revenue by initially making 50 posts.
So how do you make money once you are able to post threads?
By setting up your profile with your Google Adsense code you will enable Qoo Forum to share Adsense revenue with you (as much as 50%) for the thread topics that you create. Thus, the more you create, the better your chances of making money from it.
Qoo Forum is smart to make new members create at least 50 posts up front. This not only helps build up the content of the site, but also prevents spammers from immediately filling up the site with thread junk. My only concern at this time is that there aren’t really enough members yet (under 200 as of this writing) for the site to make enough of an impression on the rest of the web. But this will come with time and I do think that the overall concept has excellent long term potential.
One other thing I did notice is that they have enabled Kontera ads on the entire site. I like Kontera ads. I think they can really do wonders for your ad revenue potential - but there is no mention on Qoo Forum about sharing any of the Kontera ad revenue with it’s members. I guess sharing some revenue (in the form of Google Adsense) is better than nothing however.
In summary, if you like to be part of a forum community and have no problem posting on a regular basis then Qooforum is definitely something you should take part in. Just be patient. I wouldn’t expect huge payoffs in your Google Adsense accounts right away. But as I said, I think there is great potential there long term. After all, their Alexa traffic rank is currently 344,120 which is likely to offer your posts some exposure if you do what they say and post a lot of threads. This is also a great solution for those of you out there who just simply do not want to go to all the trouble of creating your own website or blog but would still like to cash in on Google Adsense.
